Youth Sports Observers
As student-athletes return to playing indoor and outdoor sports, many families are asking, “Can we come watch?” We understand that families really want to see their kids play, and we want to accommodate this as safely as possible. Please click on the links below to read the updated CDPH guidelines for limited indoor and outdoor observers at competitions.
Important Athletic Notice
On February 19, 2021, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sent out a Memo with new, updated California Department of Public Health (CDPH) information in relation to high school Athletics. The new memo in addition to the new sport calendar are linked below.
As a reminder, each league will now be forming their own seasons. Once the Northern Pacific Athletic Conference (NPAC) – Leroy Greene has created their season of sport timelines and schedules, and they are approved, they will be posted on the website.
Practices and competitions may begin as soon as allowed by the California Department of Public Health (colored tiers) and Sacramento County health authority guidelines, and in accordance with the leagues’ seasons of sport calendar, and with District approval.
This is only a one year adjustment due to the pandemic and we will return to a normal, three season sports season (fall, winter, spring) the following year.
Athletic Directors/Coaching Staff will adjust their game schedules, practice schedules, and training regimens to best prepare the student-athletes for this new adaptation of the schedule.
For Conditioning that is ongoing, please refer to our ‘Phased Return to Athletics’ plan for each site.
Looking forward to seeing our student-athletes in action!

Athletic Forms
Each year the Natomas Unified School District requires that each student have a Student-Athlete Clearance Packet completed prior to being eligible to tryout or participate in a school-sponsored sports program. Part of the clearance packet is a physical form that needs to be signed by your child’s physician. The Student-Athletic Clearance Registration needs to be completed prior to the first sport your child plays.
